Track & Field: Robinson Represents Ragin’ Cajuns On Google Cloud Academic All-District Team

Matt Sullivan, Director of Athletics Communications

Senior advances to Google Cloud® Academic All-America Team

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns track and field standout Beau Robinson was one of 13 student-athletes from schools across a nine-state region named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men’s and Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country teams in a release on Tuesday.

The team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Robinson, a 3.97 student in public relations, concluded his career as the first Ragin’ Cajuns cross country runner to earn four top-10 finishes at the Sun Belt Conference Cross Country Championships. The Luling, La., native established a school record in the men’s 10,000-meter run (30:56.75) at the 2016 Louisiana Classics and was a three-time All-Louisiana selection in cross country and was twice named All-Louisiana in the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase.

First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees to be announced in June.
