Track & Field: Leleux Matches School Record With Fourth-Place Finish At Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas – Morgann Leleux matched her school-record in the women’s pole vault as she finished fourth overall and led the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns track and field team on the final day of the 89th NIKE Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Saturday at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
 
Leleux, who set the school record at last week’s Louisiana Classics, cleared the bar at 14 feet, 1 ¼ inch on her first attempt. Auburn’s Jessie Johnson claimed the individual championship after posting a mark of 14-5 ¼, with Alysha Newman (14-1 ¼) of Miami, Annie Rhodes (14-1 ¼) of Baylor and Leleux following.
 
Louisiana will return to action on Friday, April 8 when it travels to Baton Rouge to compete in the Tiger Track Classic at LSU’s Bernie Moore Track Stadium.
