Kyle Baudoin - SBC Field Athlete of the Week

No. 1 in Sun Belt and NCAA East Region; ranked No. 6 nationally

NEW ORLEANS – Coming off a season-best mark in the pole vault and his second individual title of the 2019 outdoor season, Louisiana’s Kyle Baudoin was named on Tuesday as the Sun Belt Conference Male Field Athlete of the Week in a vote of the league’s head coaches and released by the conference office.

Baudoin, who earned his first SBC weekly honors, cleared a season-best 17 feet to claim first-place honors for the Ragin’ Cajuns at last week’s Louisiana Classics. The Walker, La., native posted the top mark in both the Sun Belt Conference and NCAA East Region, while his mark is the sixth-best mark in the nation during the 2019 season.

Louisiana will return to action March 28-30 when it travels to Gainesville, Fla., to compete at the Pepsi Florida Relays at James G. Pressly Stadium/Percy Beard Track.
