Tennis Hosts 20th Annual Summit Financial Ragin’ Cajuns Tennis Team Classic

Tennis Hosts Summit Financial Tournament 

LAFAYETTE-Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns tennis team hosted the 20 th Annual
Summit Financial Ragin’ Cajuns Tennis Team Classic on Friday-Sunday, March
14-16. The tournament was held as a fundraiser for UL tennis and raised $30,
500 for the team.

The tournament was set up in a six player doubles team format. First place
awards were given to the top teams in all divisions and second place awards
were given in the men’s and women’s 3.0 and 3.5 divisions. Taking top honors
in the women’s 2.5 division were: Cherie Martin, Lori Smith, Tammy Polaski,
Patricia Lanier, Amie Newland and Pam Walker. Taking first place in the
women’s 3.0 division were: Beth Comeaux, Liz Leger, Tori Louviere, Monica
Hebert, Tessie Broussard and Staci Overton. First in the women’s 3.5 were:
Toni Benoit, PJ Latch, Ronette Roy, Sandra LeBouef, Mary Sonnier and Connie
Boutin. First in the 4.0 division were: Christy Gauthier, Denise Angelle,
Betsy Malheit, Janet Guerrini, Kendra Coco and Kristy Zibilich.

Capturing first place in the men’s 3.0 division were: Rick Cannon, Mike
Blanchet, Phillip Cypriano, Byron Breaux, Kris Cox and Keydron Guinn. Taking
first place in the men’s 3.5 division were: Pat Landry, Garrett Broussard,
Randy Latch, Tom Carroll, Keith Patin and Joe Puhekker. First place in the
men’s 4.0 divison were: Randy Prather, Kevin Campbell, David Daniel, Rick
Revels, Steven Griffith, Bobby Belaire and Danny Maggio.

Capturing a second place finish in the women’s 3.0 division was the team of:
Jolene Curtis, Anne Orsak, Sarah Landry, Carolyn Mann, Katie Capritto and
Lainey Dupuis. Second place finishers in the the 3.5 division were: Mary
Decuir, Lisa Domingue, Bonnie Robichaux, Janice Searle, Dawn Simoneaud and
Angie Sonnier.

Taking second place in the men’s 3.0 division were: Paul Broussard, Rob
Meaux, Bill Edmondson, Lee Sittig, Bobby Simon and William Johnson. Second
place in the 3.5 division were: Chris Comeaux, Jeremy Louviere, Bryan
Bourque, Jacques Pourrier, Hiep Nguyen, Thad Montgomery and Matt Begnaud.

The Cajuns would like to thank all of their sponsors for making the
