Spring Hill College names Molenveld as women’s tennis coachJeff Schneider, September 24, 2013 For Immediate Release: Contact: Jim Stennett, Sports Information Director MOBILE, Ala. – Spring Hill College has named Myrthe Molenveld as the school’s head coach of women’s tennis. A former graduate assistant coach at the University of South Alabama (USA) in 2012-13, Molenveld has also served as a club professional at the Country Club of Mobile and Yarbough Tennis Center in Auburn. Molenveld earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Auburn University in 2011 and is currently working toward her M.S. in Health Education/Exercise Science at USA. A native of The Netherlands, Molenveld played two seasons of varsity tennis at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 2007-09 where she was named the 2007 Freshman of the Year in Louisiana and was a two-time member of the Academic Honor Roll. She transferred to Auburn in 2009 where she was nationally ranked by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) in 2010 and was a two-time selection to the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Honor Roll. ![]()
