LAFAYETTE – The home of Louisiana Softball, Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park, will feature a big addition for the 2020 season. The ballpark’s new 30-foot wide Daktronics LED video display will shine brightly throughout the 10th-ranked Ragin’ Cajuns’ home schedule this season.

"The new 30-foot Daktronics video board at Lamson Park is an incredible enhancement to a first-class facility," Director of Athletics Bryan Maggard said. "Our nationally ranked softball program is certainly deserving of such an addition to their ballpark, and we owe it to the incredible support of a number of key investors from within our softball fanbase. I would like to commend the diligent work of RCAF Executive Director Lee De León and Assistant A.D. for Development Hans Malebranche in securing more than $400,000 in donations for this project. We are all looking forward to an exciting Louisiana Softball season under the leadership of Coach Gerry Glasco."

With a system output of up to 1,850,000 pixels, the new LED screen has an active video area of 14.4-feet by 30-feet. The in-stadium computer controls will allow for four independent video sources to be placed on the screen at any given time, allowing for full screen video playback or segmented areas of activity.
