Softball: Cajuns win the Sun Belt Tournament title – post game video included

For the first time in the last three seasons, the UL Ragin’ Cajuns softball program won the Sun Belt Conference Tournament championship with a 4-1 win over South Alabama on Saturday at Lamson Park.

Senior leftfielder Shelbi Redfearn smashed a three-run home run in the sixth inning to provide the difference. Christina Hamilton went the distance in the circle, and didn’t allow a run after the first inning for the victory.

UL, which has a No. 12 national ranking and No. 6 RPI, will find out at approximately 9 p.m. Sunday evening on ESPNU what their NCAA Regional seed will be.
