Softball: Cajuns Sit No. 10/11 in New Polls 3/13/12

LAFAYETTE, La. – The UL softball team cracked the top 10 in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll, which was released Tuesday afternoon.

Louisiana, (22-0, 3-0) moved up one spot in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 and is No.11 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll for the second week in a row.

The Cajuns are coming off a 5-0 week where they swept a doubleheader at Houston and won all three games of the set against North Texas last weekend.

UL has matched their best start in the history of the program at 22-0 and are 3-0 in Sun Belt play for the first time since the 2005 season.

Louisiana will put their winning streak on the line tonight as they host in state rival McNeese State at Lamson Park, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
