Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics Celebration/Fall Fan Day Set For This Weekend At Cajundome Convention Center

LAFAYETTE, La. – The fifth-annual Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics Celebration, a fan-driven event to support the coaches of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s athletics program, will be held Aug. 27 at 6 p.m. at the Cajundome Convention Center.
 
The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Department will host its annual Ragin’ Cajuns Fall Fan Day, presented by MidSouth Bank, on Sunday (Aug. 28) at the Cajundome Convention Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. with activities taking place until 7 p.m. The event is free for fans of all ages.
 
The Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics Celebration will include music by The Boogie Allstars, complimentary food and drinks, a silent auction, raffles and a chance to mingle with the Louisiana coaching staff.
 
The event, organized by community business leaders, has raised close to a million dollars over the first four years, with proceeds going directly to recruit and retain quality coaches for Ragin’ Cajuns teams, according to Blaine Barrilleaux, one of the founding organizers.
 
One admission ticket costs $150 and admits two people. Tickets can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com

Free Ragin’ Cajuns commemorative t-shirts, courtesy of MidSouth Bank, will be distributed while supplies last.
 
Fans will have a chance to meet and get autographs from Ragin’ Cajuns football, volleyball, soccer and men’s and women’s basketball players and coaches.
 
Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to purchase football season tickets and join the RCAF.
