Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics Bolsters External Staff with Recent Additions

Louisiana hires additional staff during the spring and summer to enhance external efforts 

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Athletics has made key additions to its staff to give a noticeable boost to the outreach of the Ragin’ Cajuns brand, it was announced by Director of Athletics Bryan Maggard on Thursday. From all around the country and the state of Louisiana, new faces have been added to Louisiana’s communications, marketing and ticketing areas, as well as the Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Foundation.

"Our tremendous growth within Louisiana Athletics has been made to position ourselves for both immediate and future success," Maggard said. "Operating on all cylinders moving forward, from a departmental standpoint, will allow our sport programs the best opportunity to compete for and win championships. We’re making great strides, with still more to capitalize on heading into the 2018-19 sports season."

New employees with the Ragin’ Cajuns include: Assistant AD for Communications & Digital Strategy Patrick Crawford,
Director of Major Gifts Alex Cook, Director of Annual Giving Walker Rolen, Director of Marketing, Promotions & Fan Engagement Connor Whelan and Ticket Service Representatives Daniel Pharo, Adam Savoie and Brianna Ulven.

In the area of game management, Jessica Trahan was promoted to Associate Director of Event Management. Trahan had previously served as Operations Coordinator for the Ragin’ Cajuns since 2015.

Along with a restructuring of Louisiana’s marketing department, Kayla Hebert was promoted to the role of Assistant Director of Marketing, Promotions & Fan Engagement. Continuing to support efforts in the marketing area will be Graduate Assistant Dustin Ponthieux.
