Obituary: Oliver Mae Hitter – Red Jacket – April 25, 2013Oliver Mae HitterPosted: Tuesday, April 30, 2013 2:00 pm LONG BEACH, Calif. — Oliver Mae Hitter died April 25, 2013, in Long Beach, Calif. She was born June 20, 1922, in New Iberia to Alphonse Hitter and Cora Oliver “Lover” Laperouse. She is survived by one sister Estelle Hitter Williams; a companion Adelyn Johnson; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her two brothers Charles Hitter and Alphonse Edmond “Pete” Hitter; three sisters Lillian Hitter Lester, Jeanne Hitter Renoudet and Oneida Hitter Judice.
