Obituary: Norbert Stoute – UL Staff 1959-97 – December 27, 2014

Norbert Stoute (October 23, 1937- December 27, 2014) 

Scott – Funeral services will be held Monday, December 29, 2014 at a 2:30 p.m. Liturgy of the Word in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Norbert Stoute, age 77, who passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 12:47 p.m. at his residence in Scott.

Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. Rev. Andre Metrejean, pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

Mr. Stoute was an electrician for ULL for thirty-seven years and was the Superintendent of Maintenance his last seven years.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Stoute of Scott; two sons, Byron Stoute and his wife, Leslie, of Duson and Carl Stoute and his fiancée, Kitty Horton, of Scott; two daughters, Darnelle Baker and her fiancé, David Buxton, of Vidor, TX and Lynette Meaux of Scott; one sister, Roselyn Maitre and her husband, Hubert, of Scott; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Weston Stoute and the former Bertha Lantier; and one brother, John Ray Stoute.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Monday until service time on Monday.

Pallbearers will be Blaze Stoute, Brandon Stoute, Billy Baker, Brent Baker, Travis Meaux and Mitchell Royer.
