LAFAYETTE – John Theodore Linton, 75, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer BaJackson and Cynthia Rush; one son, John H. Linton II; four grandchildren, Abigail Worth, Hayden Worth, Hunter Linton and Luke Rush; two sisters, Judy Hunter and twin sister, Jayne Ely; and his fiancée, Patricia Martin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Hunter Linton and Jane Reaney Linton.

John Theodore Linton was born on July 29, 1938 in Washington, DC, and was a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for the later third of his life. Mr. Linton was a financial planner for nearly 40 years and owned and operated, John T. Linton & Associates LTD. He also worked as a business counselor and tax specialist at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL) until his retirement. Mr. Linton was a member of the Episcopal Church. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held at a later date in Maryland.
