Obituary: Jerry Felix Meaux – Former Shipley Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach – April 24, 2014

JUDICE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist for Jerry Felix Meaux, 74, who passed away on Thursday April 24, 2014 at 2:15 pm.

Reverend Henry Broussard, will be Celebrant of the Mass and Reverend Joseph Brennan will be con celebrant and will conduct the funeral services.

Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jerry, a resident of Judice, LA was the son of the late Pridgeon Meaux and the former Leah Begnaud.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty two years, Betty L. Meaux; his children, Steven B. Meaux and his wife Pam, Michelle M. Breaux and husband Brian, William B. Meaux, Johnny B. Meaux, Tommy B. Meaux and wife Kristen; five grandchildren, Jamie M. McDaniel, Morgan M. Louviere, Brennan J. Breaux, Avery M. Breaux and Sydney R. Meaux; two great grandchildren, Alex M. McDaniel and Lily C. McDaniel.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Drive, on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm on Sunday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue Monday, April 28, 2014 from 9:00 am until the time of service.

Pallbearers will be Steven B. Meaux, William B. Meaux, Johnny B. Meaux, Tommy B. Meaux, Brian J. Breaux and Brennan J. Breaux. Honorary Pallbearers will be J.U. "Mickey" Gajan, James J. Davidson, III, Dexter J. Gary, B.I. Moody, III and the Board of Directors of Slemco and the Louisiana Racing Commission.
