Funeral Services will be held AT 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 29, 2015 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Dr. William Albert Rieck, 73, who passed away November 26, 2015 at 6:00 am at his residence. Rev. Pat Wadsworth will conduct the funeral service.
Dr. Rieck, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late William Rieck and the former Grace Borman. Dr. Rieck received his Bachelor Degree from Jersey City Sate College, his Masters from Montclair State University and his Doctorate Degree from Loyola University in Chicago. He devoted much of his life in education. After several years as a high school principal; he found his calling where he spent the last 25 years as a Professor of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
He is survived by wife of 50 years, Judith Anne Rieck; daughter, Melissa Anne Rieck; son, William A. Rieck Jr. and granddaughter Grace Rieck.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel of the Flowers on Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 11:00AM until the time of the funeral service.
