Obituary: David Sanches, Baseball 1970-73 – Jan. 17, 2009We are saddened to report the passing of David Sanches. Our condolences are extended to his family, teammates, and friends. David K. Sanches of San Marcos passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, January 17th, 2009. David is survived by his loving wife Betty S. Sanches, daughter Jenny and her husband Bill Paulk, daughter Allison and her husband Brett Emmett, son Paul Seabaugh and his wife Rebecca, son Michael Seabaugh and his wife Carmen, doting mother Emma Lee Sanches, brother Chip Sanches and his wife Margaret, sister Gail and her husband Dan Dziuba, brother Jeffrey Sanches and his wife Karen. David will also be lovingly missed by his four grandchildren Olivia and Sophie Paulk, Jake Seabaugh, Madison Seabaugh as well as various nephews and nieces. David will also be missed by his loyal and faithful, four-legged companion, Rin (aka Girly Girl). David proudly served as the Plant Manager of International Power America – Hayes Energy Plant in San Marcos for the past nine years. David was a loving and devoted husband and father, brother, uncle and friend. His smile, laugh and humor in the face of life’s adversity will be missed and honored by his family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, January 21st at Pennington Funeral Home in San Marcos with visitation beginning at 12:30pm. A burial will follow on Thursday, January 22nd, in his birthplace of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of David K. Sanches to the SPCA Animal Shelter of San Marcos (or to any local SPCA shelter).
