Obituary for David Roch Huval

1958 – 2013

 

Funeral Services will be held at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for David Roch Huval, 54, who passed away on May 6, 2013 at 1:25 am at his parents residence in Parks, LA.

Reverend Ed Degeyter will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.

Burial will take place in St. Bernard Cemetery #2 at a later date.

Mr. Huval, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, was the son of William R. Huval and the former Ethel Champagne.

He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Liz Friedman and husband Bill of Lafayette, LA and Christine Wright and husband Joe of Houston, TX; one brother, Mike Huval and wife Vickie of Parks, LA; three nieces, Brooke Huval, Rachel and Claire Friedman; and one nephew, Jacob Tauzin.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arista and Melanie Champagne and paternal grandparents, Aldus "Bala" and Helen Huval.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm on Friday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue Saturday from 8:00 am until the time of service.

Pallbearers will be Mike Huval, Bill Friedman, Jude Robicheaux, Glenn "Toesco" Patin, Rocky Sonnier, Randy Rees, Russell Champagne, Rudy Macklyn, Darryl King, Dale Menard, Ken Mires, Stephen Lightfoot, Mick Sullivan and Dale Theriot.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnson Street, Ste 200, Lafayette, LA 70503 or to the UL Baseball Team, "UL Lafayette Foundation," to: UL Office of Development, P.O. Drawer 43410, Lafayette, LA 70504-3410.
