In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rachel Cheramie Gosnell.

Pallbearers will be Monty Gosnell, Scott Gosnell, Chester Gosnell, Randy Cheramie, Wayne Delcambre, Roland Theriot, Allen Gosnell, Laurence Smith, and Todd Cheramie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston St. Suite 200, Lafayette, La 70503, Lafayette, LA 70506, who took such wonderful care of Miles.

It was a pleasure to work with Miles in an associated manner while he was on the Student Personnel staff and I was on the HPE faculty. He gave his all to any assignments or responsibilities and always had the best long-term interests of our students in mind.

Our condolences to his family and friends. Special appreciation is expressed to Jimmy Porche’ for making the AN aware of Miles’ passing.
