The  Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns are always striving to utilize technology to benefit their fans, today they have unveiled innovative mobile ticketing initiatives aimed at making game day a smoother and more enjoyable experience for fans.

"We are always looking to enhance our fans’ game day experience and keep the Ragin’ Cajuns on the cutting-edge, so it’s thrilling to be the first Louisiana Ticketmaster Client to implement these mobile ticketing programs," said Matt Casbon, UL Ticket Manager.

At the start of the 2013-2014 season, the Ragin’ Cajun fans can begin using Ticketmaster’s mobile ticketing application for scanning virtual tickets. The app, available for all smartphones and devices, enables fans to purchase tickets, and the Ragin’ Cajuns are the first Louisiana team to utilize the app’s paperless ticketing capability, which allows fans to pull up their tickets on their smartphones and have them scanned upon entry to the stadium.

In addition to scanning virtual tickets on the Ticketmaster app, the Ragin’ Cajuns will also become the first to use Apple’s Passbook app, starting this Saturday, September 14, when the team takes on the Nicholls State Colonels. Passbook – a new feature on Apple’s iOS6 operating system – serves as a "mobile wallet," allowing users to store and sort all virtual cards, tickets, and offers. Fans using Passbook can purchase Ragin’ Cajun tickets from Ticketmaster and then store them in their Passbook accounts for easy access. Passbook tickets use Quick Response (QR) Code rather than a traditional barcode, and the scanners at Cajun Field have been updated to accept QR-style code.

Mobile ticketing is currently available for single-game ticket purchases. Fans may also purchase individual game tickets by visiting www.ticketmaster.com or calling (800) 745-3000.
