Men’s Tennis: Keremedchiev Stays Hot in Fayetteville
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Ivailo Keremedchiev won another match and advanced to the quarterfinals in the USTA Futures event Thursday morning after beating Sherif Abohabaga 6-4, 7-5.
With his win, Keremedchiev became the first Ragin’ Cajun tennis player to advance to the quarterfinals at the professional event since Jake Wynan did so in 2014.
Keremedchiev has won five matches in the last five days to reach the quarterfinals. Keremedchiev will play Rinky Hijikata following the events 10:00 a.m. match.
