Men’s Tennis: Farine Faced Voss, Advanced To Win Finals
At the HEB Baylor Men’s Tennis Invitational, Louisiana’s Brandon Farine had a tough task of facing a teammate en route to winning the consolation bracket on Sunday.
After falling in his first match, Farine won four-straight consolation matches, including a 2-6, 7-6 (4), 10-5 win over teammate Robert Voss in the semifinals.
After the close semifinal win, Farine cruised to a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Armando Morales of New Mexico State in the finals.
Farine and the rest of the Cajuns’ tennis team will have little rest as they head to the All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla., Oct. 2-10.
