Men’s Tennis: Cajuns Place Two Doubles Pairs On All-SBC TeamNEW ORLEANS, La. – The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns men’s tennis team had four representatives on the 2015 All-Sun Belt Conference men’s tennis teams with two doubles pairs earning first team honors in an announcement made by league officials on Thursday. The doubles tandems of Edgar Lopez and Damian Farinola, along with Coleman Wahlborg and Jarred Wynan each were named to the first team, making the Cajuns one of two programs – along with Appalachian State – two place multiple duos on the all-league teams. It is the second such honor for Lopez and Farinola, who earned second team honors last season in doubles play. The pair went 7-5 this season, including five wins at No. 1 doubles for the season. They won two of three matches against ranked doubles teams this season, with the biggest win coming on the road against the Texas Tech duo of Feliipe Soares and Hugo Dojas on March 22 in Lubbock, a team ranked No. 24 in the nation at the time. Meanwhile, the honors are the first postseason awards for both Wahlborg and Wynan after teaming up to lead the team with a 10-4 doubles mark. They dominated Nos. 2-3 doubles play this year, going a combined 9-2 in those matches. They finished the season on fire, claiming wins in seven of their final eight decisions of the season. The Cajuns will be back in action this weekend in New Orleans when they go for their second consecutive SBC championship at City Park. Louisiana enters the weekend as the No. 5 seed and will battle Georgia Southern at 3:00 p.m. on Friday in the opening round. A win would pit UL against top-seeded Troy on Saturday in the tournament semifinals. #GeauxCajuns
