Men’s Tennis: Cajuns Falls Short in Bid for SBC Crown

Denton, Texas – Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns men’s team saw their season come to an end late Saturday night in Denton, Texas as they fell 4-1 to FAU in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament semi-finals. The Cajuns got to the semi’s by beating UNO earlier in the day. The Cajuns end the season with a record of 16-8.

The 16 wins this season is tied with the 2006 team for the most wins since 1994.

The Cajuns were able to get by UNO despite losing the doubles point. The Cajuns rallied to win five four singles matches and took the match 4-2. It was the second time this season the Cajuns bet UNO.

UL faced FAU in the semi’s and the Owls seemed to be too much for the Cajuns as they won the doubles point and never looked back. UL’s Piotr Olechowski was the only Cajun to pick up a win verse FAU.

The Cajuns loose Arlen Domoney, but with such a young team they are poised for another successful season
