Jim Doyle’s Acceptance Speech (audio) For The Sring Gala 2007

Jim Doyle, “71”

Submitted by Ed Doyle, brother, class of "73", both profiles posted in AN.

Jim was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a form of blood cancer, in early February of this year. For all who know Jim even slightly, you would not be surprised at the way he confronted this challenge – with a vengeance! Jim is being treated at the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock Arkansas which is recognized as the worlds leader in research and treatment of Multiple Myeloma.

For the past 3 months Jim and Charlotte have been in Little Rock for all exceptone three week hiatus. He recently received a stem cell transplant on May29th and is gaining his strength back as his immune system rebuilds. Jim is in remission, and after a second transplant scheduled for August, we all pray his care will shift from treatment to maintenance.
