Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns golf team had two golfers, sophomores Philipp Fendt and Andrew Noto, named All-Louisiana by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association. Fendt was tabbed First Team-All Louisiana and Noto picked up Second Team honors.

"Once again, these two men continue to impress," said UL head coach Theo Sliman. "They worked hard all season for this honor and I’m proud of their effort. It’s just another testament to their dedication and desire."

For Fendt, it is the second year in a row being named one of the state’s top collegiate golfers. Last season, as a freshman, the Austria-native was a second team selection. This past season he was the Cajun’s top-finisher in nine of 12 tournaments with a 72.11 stroke average. Fendt finished in the top-10 eight times, including a third-place showing at the Oak Hills Invitational (Feb. 15-16). Of 36 rounds played this season, 20 were at even par or better.

Noto picked up his first career All-Louisiana after finishing first for the Cajuns in three events this season. On four occasions, the Luling, La. Native finished in the top-10 with his best finish coming at the Carter Plantation Intercollegiate in a tie for second place. For the season, he averaged 73.82 strokes per round.
