Golf: Morgan Landry Awarded Sun Belt Postgraduate ScholarshipCAJUNS GOLFER MORGAN LANDRY AWARDED SUN BELT POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP SAN DESTIN, Fla. – University of Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns senior golfer Morgan Landry (Lafayette, La.) was one of two Sun Belt Conference student-athletes to receive the Postgraduate Scholarship Award at the league’s annual spring meetings held at the Hilton San Destin. Morgan Landry holds a 3.7 GPA while majoring in Finance and was named to the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner’s List in 2005, 2006 and 2007. He earned Academic All-American honors in 2007. A four-year letterwinner on the golf team, Landry played in every tournament as a sophomore and junior and helped the Ragin’ Cajuns to the 2007 Sun Belt championship. He has a career stroke average of 75.4, including averages of 75.5 (2008), 75.0 (2007) and 74.9 (2006) over the last three seasons. Landry has never received a grade lower than a "B" and has received an "A" in 11 of his last 16 courses. He has earned Dean’s List honors all seven of his completed semesters and posted a perfect 4.0 GPA while taking 15 credit hours in the Fall of 2006. Landry was one of six student-athletes the Sun Belt Conference recognized for their significant accomplishments during Tuesday night’s Honors Banquet. The conference presented WKU’s Crystal Kelly and Denver’s Adam Holmstrom as the Sun Belt Student-Athletes of the Year, and Denver’s Alyssa Hampton and WKU’s Benjamin Brown as Sporting Behavior Award winners.
