Golf: Magnus Set To Tee Off At NCAA Stillwater Regional
STILLWATER, Okla. – Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns senior golfer Haraldur Magnus is set to tee off as an individual at the 2016 NCAA Stillwater Regional starting Monday at the par-72, 7,418-yard Karsten Creek Golf Club. Play gets underway at 8 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday and at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday for the final round. Groups will start off of holes one and ten for all three rounds. Magnus will need to finish as the low individual not on one of the top 5 teams in order to advance to the finals. The individual medalist title will be decided May 27-June 1 at Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Oregon. The senior has a 72.09 scoring average in 34 rounds this season. Magnus has posted 18 rounds of par or better this year including eight rounds in the 60s. The Reykjavik, Iceland native has recorded five top 10 finishes this season including a tournament victory at the prestigious Border Olympics.
