Golf: Louisiana Moves Up Two Spots On Final Day At Border Olympics
Ragin’ Cajuns set to host 35th annual Louisiana Classics March 16-17 at Oakbourne

LAREDO, Texas – Jack Tolson and Charlie Flynn each fired an even-par 72 and the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Golf team moved up two spots to conclude the 2020 Border Olympics with an 11th-place finish on Tuesday at the Max Madel Golf Course.
Louisiana posted a team score of 7-over 295 in the final round to finish at 893 for the 54-hole tournament and four shots behind 10th-place Toledo (889). ULM shot a 1-over 289 in the final round to claim the 17-team tournament at 861 with Arkansas State (863), Sam Houston State (865), Campbell (869) and Houston (869) rounding out the top five.
Tolson finished in a tie for 26th place for Louisiana, posting a 54-hole score of 4-over 220. Bjorn Gudjonsson carded a 4-over-76 in the final round to finish at 5-over 221 overall for the Ragin’ Cajuns with Flynn posting his second round at par or better to finish at 224.
Hudson Dubinski recorded a 3-over 75 for Louisiana to finish at 229 for the two-day event with Peter Hinnant finishing at 236 overall after shooting a 6-over-78.
First-day leader Noah Steele of Sam Houston State claimed medalist honors after posting an even-par 72 to finish at 9-under 207. Zan Luka Stirn of Arkansas State and Hugo Hellman of Lamar were four shots back at 212.
Louisiana will return to action on March 16-17 when it hosts the 35th annual Louisiana Classics at Oakbourne Country Club.
