Golf: Hinnant Highlight Action At Rain Soaked David Toms Intercollegiate

BATON ROUGE, La. – Sophomore Peter Hinnant became the fourth Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns golfer in the last four years to post a round of 66 (-6) on a rain-shortened Saturday at the David Toms Intercollegiate hosted at the par-72, 7,220-yard University Club.
Play was suspended during the second round due to a halt in play earlier in the day with heavy rains in the area. The second round is scheduled to resume Sunday morning at 8 a.m. with the third round to follow immediately after the completion of the second round.
Hinnant Cards Career Low Round
Hinnant posted his career-low round to open the David Toms Intercollegiate carding a 66 to take the individual lead after the first round. The sophomore birdied four of his first five holes of the day and had eight total during the round. Hinnant joins Jack Tolson, Haraldur Magnus and Fernando Cruz Valle on the list of Ragin’ Cajuns golfers to post a round of 66 in the last four years.
