As a team, Louisiana carded a round of 10-under par (278) in the final 18 holes to finish with an overall score of 11-under (853).
Pepperdine was the wire-to-wire champion with a three-round score of 28-under (836), while McNeese’s Blake Elliott claimed individual medalist honors with a score of 18-under (198).
Sliman’s Thoughts
"It’s good to see the team put together a complete 18 holes today to springboard us into the spring season. It was nice to see several players post rounds under par as we played with great intensity and composure from start to finish. This was just the kind of performance that we needed as we wrap up the fall and look to the spring.
"Really proud of Peter who posted a phenomenal round today. This is the third time this season he has posted a round of 66 or better, and I look for him to continue to show great things in the spring. Peter was able to not only get off to a great start, but he was very strong in his final six holes of the day with two birdies and an eagle."
Hinnant Cards 65
Hinnant climbed 28 spots in the final round to finish in a tie for 17th at 6-under (210) for his third career top 25 performance. A native of Winston Salem, N.C., Hinnant is the second Louisiana golfer in the last 30 years to post two rounds of 66 or better in the same season joining Fernando Cruz Valle.
Hinnant had just one blemish on his card in the final round tallying six birdies and an eagle in his final hole of the day. The round of 7-under is tied for the second lowest round versus par in program history since the 1993-94 season.
Flynn In Top 25
Freshman Charlie Flynn tabbed his second top 25 finish of the year placing in a tie for 24th at 4-under (212) after carding a 72 (E) in the final round.
