MEMPHIS, Tenn.-Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns golf team concluded the second and what ended up being the final round of play on Tuesday at the Memphis Intercollegiate at the Colonial Country Club in Memphis, Tenn. The golf tournament was shortened do to inclement weather in the area.
The Cajuns finished the tournament in 11th place. After shooting a 300 in the first round, the Ragin’ Cajuns combined for a team score of 308 in the second round.

Devin Carrey was the top Cajun finisher. He led all Cajuns golfers after his first round score of one-over par 73. In the second round, Carrey carded a two-over par 74. His three-over par score gave the junior his second top-20 finish of the fall (T-18).
Senior Michael Smith was the model of consistency. The Lafayette native carded back to back rounds of 75 to finish in a tie for 34th.
Just behind Smith was Thomas Petts. The Cajuns’ newcomer shot an opening round of 74, but followed that performance with a 79 to finish in a tie for 52nd.
