Colonel Tom Kelly USMC (Retired), a  1964 graduate of USL  and 3 year letterman of the USL Football Team  and his sister, Jennifer Kelly Miller, from Denham Springs, Louisiana returned from their 13 days trip to China on May 17th.

They departed for China from San Francisco on May 4th  and  initially arrived in Beijing after a 12 hours flight  and stayed at the Kerry Hotel for 3 nights.  While in Beijing, they visited Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City & the Great Wall.

After that they flew to Xian for a 2 night stay  where they stayed at the Hilton Hotel and visited the site of  the Terra Cotta Army where they saw approximately 3,000 of the life size Terra Cotta Warriors with their horses and chariots.  They then flew to Chongiging where they boarded the Viking Emerald (260 passengers) for a 6 days cruise of the Yangtze River where they  cruised through some beautiful gorges and toured the Three Gorges Dam.  They then disembarked in Wuhan where they  flew to Shanghai and   stayed 2 nights at  the Westin Hotel where they  toured  Old Shanghai/The Bund and visited the Shanghai Museum.  After that they flew back to San Francisco where Jennifer returned to Louisiana and Tom returned to his home in Virginia.
