The Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Wednesday signed ex-UL tight end Ian Thompson to their practice squad.

Thompson was turned into a fullback shortly after signing with the Bucs last spring as an undrafted free agent.

He’s the third former Ragin’ Cajun who was a senior last season and who either is or has been on an NFL’s practice squad this season.

Undrafted receiver Darryl Surgent started the season on Kansas City’s practice squad before being waived by the Chiefs earlier this month, and undrafted tight end Jacob Maxwell was signed to Miami’s practice squad after being waived by Detroit.
