Former Boise State, NFL player: Hats off to the Ragin’ Cajuns and their fans

This past weekend my fiancé and family members experienced a wonderful trip to Lafayette.

As a former Boise State player, I was completely taken in with the genuine hospitality that your community displayed.  Although the game itself was lopsided, there was a graciousness from the Cajun attendees that made me a lifelong fan.

Hats off to all of the alumni and patrons, restaurant workers, tourist industry helpers and regular folks!  Despite the recent flooding and many displaced people, there was sense of cheer and goodness.  We couldn’t have felt more welcome.

I left Lafayette with the feeling that if all of our communities showcased their niceties like you did, then America would be a much more humanistic and cohesive nation.

On behalf of my family and all the Boise State fans, thank you Ragin’ Cajuns and thank you Lafayette for making this trip most memorable.
