Former Baseball: Help a Cajun Reach MLB All-Star Game – voting ends June 30

Ragin’ Cajuns fans can help make Jonathan Lucroy’s first full season as starting catcher for the Milwaukee Brewers a special one by helping him reach the 2011 MLB All-Star Game.

Lucroy, who starred for the Ragin’ Cajuns from 2005-07, is the hottest catcher in MLB right now. In the last six games Lucroy has started behind the plate, the Brewers are 6-0 and he is hitting .426 with two home runs and 9 RBIs.

After missing the first 10 games of the season (fractured right pinkie finger), Lucroy joined the Brewers on April 11 and reeled off a career-best nine-game hitting streak. He’s currently hitting .315 with three home runs and 16 RBI in 26 games played.
