Former Athletes on the Links: First Coach Stokley – Eddie Mouton, Gene Brackin – Gerald Reaux

Stories had been published previously about a hole in one by Coach Nelson Stokley and Eddie Mouton.

In today’s news, information about Gene Brackin’s hole in one was included.

Later in the day, a different type of golf accomplishment was emailed to us.

Gerald Reaux, Men’s Basketball 1956-59, sent the following email:

I shot 76, 14 days before my 77th birthday on August 11 at Vieux Chenes witnessed by Wayne Pierce and Don Everette.

My bucket list is getting lighter!

Congratulations to Gerald on this special accomplishment. I commented to him that he is now in a league with Dr. Sam Foreman and Clyde Wolf, both who had similar accomplishments.
