Football Season Ticket Sales At An All-Time HighLAFAYETTE, La. — With three weeks left before the Ragin’ Cajuns football team opens the 2012 season at home against Lamar on Sept. 1, season ticket sales have already reached a record level and are approaching the goal of 10,000. “There is a great value in purchasing UL football season tickets. Not only are there costs savings versus buying individual game tickets, but you also are assured a seat at every game. Currently, limited seating is still available in the lower bowl,” UL athletic tickets manager Matt Casbon said. “The ticket demand for the upcoming season has been fabulous,” UL athletic director Scott Farmer said. “We set school and Sun Belt records last year by averaging almost 30,000 fans and I believe we are capable of drawing even more this season.“ As he did in 2011, second year head coach Mark Hudspeth has challenged Ragin’ Cajuns fans to turn out this year. “Our fans answered my challenge last year and came out in big numbers to Cajun Field. I will be disappointed if we don’t average 35,000 fans a game this year and make Cajun Field the toughest place to play in the south,“ head coach Mark Hudspeth said. Season tickets are available by visiting the Ragin’ Cajuns Ticket Central online at RaginCajuns.com or by calling (337) 265-2357. Season ticket prices start at just $96 for general admission and $130 for reserved seating. There is a special Family 5 Pak featuring lower bowl seating being available for $330. In addition, contributors to the 2012 RCAF Annual Fund ($250 or higher) will assure themselves reserved parking. Single game tickets for the 2012 season will go on sale on Monday, August 27. Reserved seats for the games vs. Lamar (Sept. 1), FIU (Sept. 29) and Tulane (Oct. 6) will be $30 with general admission costing $25. Reserved seats vs. Arkansas State (Oct. 23), Western Kentucky (Nov. 17) and South Alabama (Nov. 24) will be $25 with general admission running $20. Brian McCann
