Football: Ragin’ Cajuns Give All-Access To ESPNU – show airs Wednesday + more later this week

Ragin’ Cajuns Give All-Access To ESPNU
30-Minute Show To Air On Wednesday (Nov. 20)

LAFAYETTE, La. — The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns football program will be featured this week on ESPNU All-Access, a weekly 30-minute show that brings the sports fan behind the scenes at major college football programs around the country.

Louisiana is the 14th of 15 schools to be featured this year.  The program will first air on ESPNU on Wednesday (Nov. 20) at 4:00 p.m. CST and the repeat at 1:30, 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. on Friday (Nov. 22) and at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday (Nov. 24).

"It is an honor that ESPN chose the Ragin’ Cajuns as one of the schools that they will showcase for the 2013 season.  We are always proud to show off our program, university and community to the rest of the country," Louisiana head coach Mark Hudspeth said.

Coach Hudspeth and the Ragin’ Cajuns welcomed the ESPN crew to campus last Tuesday (Nov. 12) and granted them access to their entire day.

The crew arrived in time to shoot video of strength coach Rusty Whitt running a developmental weights session for the Cajuns freshman at 5:45 a.m.

After weights, the crew sat through the daily staff meeting at 7:00 a.m. and the offensive and defensive game-plan sessions at 7:30 a.m.

ESPN sat down one-on-one with Coach Hudspeth late in the morning and then took a tour of the athletic facilities with senior Andre Huval, junior Alonzo Harris and sophomore Mykhael Quave.

The afternoon began with the ESPN crew sitting in on the position meetings that the players take part in every day before heading out to the practice field and Moncla Indoor Practice Facility for a normal 150-minute practice.
