For fans attending either of UL’s first two appearances in the New Orleans Bowl, the process of purchasing tickets to this year’s game on Dec. 21 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome should seem familiar, according to UL ticket manager Matt Casbon.

“The process is the same,” Casbon said. “Everything’s exactly the same. From day one, we just try to educate our fans on everything they need to know from how to order tickets to priority seating.”

Fans can order tickets by calling the New Orleans Bowl call center at 265-2170, doing so in person at the Cajundome box office or online at ragincajuns.com.

The ticket prices are $44.30 and $64.90. The better seats will be sold according to priority seating.

Fans wishing to receive priority seating must place an order prior to Dec. 6. The bowl ticket policy also states that if someone orders more tickets than their priority seating allows, the tickets over the limit will be allocated in a nonpriority area.

All orders after Dec. 6 will be based on the order in which they were received.

The priority ticket limits are: Louisiana Classics level, 16 tickets; Athletic Director’s Circle, 12 tickets; All-American level, 10 tickets; All-Cajun, eight tickets; All-Conference, six tickets; Coach’s staff, four tickets; and Varsity Club, two tickets.

Casbon said more than 90 percent of the tickets sold will be the $44.30 tickets.

UL’s initial allotment of tickets is expected to arrive Wednesday. Casbon said the first stage of tickets was just 8,000 two years ago, rose to 12,000 last year and he’s expecting 16,000 this time around.

Two years ago, UL sold more than 18,000 tickets here, and that figure rose to more than 21,000 last year.

“I don’t see why we won’t see continued growth this year as the excitement around the program continues to build,” Casbon said.

One change that Casbon does expect this year is where some UL fans will be seated. More tickets are expected to be made available in the Plaza and Loge end zone areas.

Fans will be called when their ordered tickets are ready, and picture identification will be required to claim tickets. Any tickets not claimed at the Cajundome box office will be at the Superdome will-call window on game day.

Casbon emphasized the importance of Cajun fans purchasing their tickets locally to illustrate the support of the program and to ensure that their seats will be located near other Ragin’ Cajun fans.
