Football: Hall Davis Signs Contract With Rams

Former Ragin’ Cajuns defensive end Hall Davis and the St. Louis Rams came to terms on Monday, June 28 as the fifth-round draft choice signed his contract.

The Port Allen native, who was the 149th overall pick in April’s draft, will report to Rams training camp on July 28 with the remainder of the squad’s rookie class. The first full squad training camp practice will be the afternoon of July 31.

Davis is the 19th Cajun coached by Rickey Bustle to sign a NFL contract. Each season he’s been at UL, Bustle has had at least one former player sign with an NFL squad.

Davis was a two-year starter for Louisiana. The 6-4, 273 defensive end recorded 6.5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss during final two seasons with the Ragin’ Cajuns.
