The Mercedes Benz Superdome is almost exactly the midpoint between the campuses of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.

Southern Miss fans have been waiting since 2009 to get back to the New Orleans Bowl, and they are promising to pack the house with black and gold on Dec. 17.

Ragin’ Cajuns fans, never quiet about supporting the team they call Louisiana, are always up for a party — and a challenge.
