Football: Cajuns Announce Partnership With WAITR

App will allow fans to order from Lafayette vendors during pre-game; inside Cajun Field during games

LAFAYETTE – University of Louisiana at Lafayette officials announced on Friday a partnership with WAITR, a food delivery app, which will help enhance the fan experience at Cajun Field during the 2016 season.
 
Beginning with Saturday’s season-opener against Boise State, WAITR will be allowed to provide their services at Cajun Field – both in the parking lots during pre-game and inside the stadium. Fans must download the free WAITR app to take advantage of the partnership.
 
"We are very pleased to welcome WAITR as a partner of the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns," Associate Athletic Director of External Affairs Rob Stewart said. "It’s always exciting to have a collaborative partnership that enhances the fan experience. Fans will now have the ability to order and pay for their concessions from their seats using a smart phone. On top of that, they will decrease the amount of time spent in line at the concourse because all orders placed through the WAITR app will be picked up at one of the express pick up locations in the West concourse."
 
During pre-game festivities, fans will be able to use the app to order food from a number of WAITR clients in the Lafayette area. WAITR will deliver to a central location in the parking lots located on the west side of Cajun Field up to one hour prior to kickoff. All fans who will use the app are encouraged to place orders two hours prior to kick off.
 
Once inside Cajun Field, fans will have the ability to order concessions items offered by Sodexo from the convenience of their seats. Fans will be able to order from their smart phones and then pick up their orders from two WAITR Express locations on the West concourse.
 
Sodexo currently offers a wide variety of menu items to choose from, which will allow fans to avoid standing in multiple lines by ordering everything from the convenience of their seat. Payment will be secured through the WAITR app at the time of check out, drastically reducing the transaction time.
