USM BUS TRIP
Ragin’ Cajun Fans, join the UL Alumni Association in supporting Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns as they take on the Golden Eagles of the University of Southern Mississippi in the season opener on Saturday, August 30. A chartered bus will depart the UL Alumni Center at 9:45 a.m. Saturday morning and return immediately after the game.
A fee of $100 per person includes travel on a chartered bus, game ticket and refreshments on the bus. For those who already have a game ticket, cost to ride the bus is $65.

ALUMNI TAILGATING
Sponsorship opportunities for Alumni Association tailgating are still available. With your sponsorship you will receive: positive name association with UL Lafayette, ten (10) game tickets with the option to purchase additional tickets, ten (10) passes into the Alumni tent for your company and guests, signage at tailgating area proclaiming your sponsorship, publicity including: mention on radio spots and/or newspaper story as well as loudspeaker and score board messages during the game and the opportunity to distribute "spirit" items with your company logo. HOMECOMING
This year Homecoming will take place on Saturday, November 1st. Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns will take on the Golden Panthers from Florida International. Game time is set for 4 p.m.

ALUMNI FLAG CAMPAIGN
In an effort to increase visibility in the community, the Alumni Association has initiated a UL flag campaign in which business partners participating in its Membership Discount Program have been asked to show their pride and support by displaying a UL flag or banner at their place of business. Please join them in showing your pride by supporting this initiative and purchasing a UL flag or banner (see our website for select retailers). Paid members of the Alumni Association can purchase a flag or banner at a discounted price of up to 20% or more by calling (337) 482-0900. Get one in time for football season!
ATHLETIC ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITIES
There are many wonderful new things happening at the University of Louisiana, one of which you are invited to be a part of. The Athletics Department has decided to move all advertising in house. Therefore, all sport posters, schedule cards and game programs will be created and produced by the Department. In order to make this endeavor successful, they need the support of the Ragin’ Cajuns community.
Their first project is a huge one! This fall they will be releasing a new football gameday program called "GEAUX". Each home game (five this year) will have it’s own full color, magazine style program with a new cover, several feature stories on current and past players, as well as information on campus events and other sports. This is going to bring back a faded tradition and wonderful keepsake that has been missed. Programs will be sold at each home game and all profits will remain in the Athletic Department. Ads are currently being sold and information and prices can be found on the website http://www.geauxragincajuns.com. Time is running out, so if interested, please call Katie at (337) 482-6337.
MEN’S CAJUN TENNIS TEAM SEEKING YOUR SUPPORT
Mark Jeffrey, the New Men’s Head Tennis Coach is seeking your support for the 2008-09 season. This year’s team promises to be one of the Ragin’ Cajun’s best and with 5 new recruits of blue-chip caliber and the top of the lineup returning from last year’s team, this is definitely a Sunbelt Conference contender right from the get go.

The season kicks off September 19 – 21 with a three day event, the UL Men’s Invitational, at Cajun Courts. Entry is free to the public.
