Dance Team: Sweethearts (61-81?) Planning 2013 Reunion

Dance Network Newsletter – Sweethearts (1961-81?)

Several former Sweethearts met on June 12th at the Hilton Garden Inn to discuss the possibility of a Sweethearts reunion.

Those in attendance included Sherry Richard LeBas, Jodie Darby Suire, Sharon Fisher O’Neill, Dr. Gail Parker Poirrier, and Dr. Ed Dugas (Athletic Network).

The interest shown indicated another meeting is in order. Another meeting is being projected for late July or early August. The open meeting room is on the left when entering the lobby from Congress Street. Complimentary coffee, tea, etc., will be available. The HGI does serve lunch (on your own) and you may bring your food from their buffet/menu into the meeting area.

Options discussed without decisions made include the following possibilities:
1. Nov. 1 – Friday night social at the Petroleum Club (tentative hold on room);
2. Nov. 2 – Saturday – Trolley or float in Homecoming Parade;
3. Nov. 2 – Introduction of the Sweethearts on the field prior to the start of the homecoming game.

Please let one of the above Sweetheart leaders know if you wish to attend the next meeting.

In the meantime, please contact your teammates and inform them of the discussions being held on the possibility of a 2013 Sweethearts Reunion. Encourage them to submit their profile to the AN is they have not done so.
