Cross Country: Devitt, Robinson Receive All-Louisiana Honors

BATON ROUGE – Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns cross country student-athletes Anna Devitt and Beau Robinson were each named to the 2015 LSWA All-Louisiana Cross Country Team in a release by the organization on Tuesday.
 
Devitt, a three-time All-Louisiana selection and 2014 LSWA Female Runner of the Year, was named to the women’s team after the senior posted one individual title and three top-15 finishes in four events for the Ragin’ Cajuns in 2015. The Baton Rouge native, who was also the 2012 LSWA Freshman of the Year, earned a first-place finish at the Ragin’ Cajuns Invitational, crossing the finish line of the 5K race in 18:00.1 and was fourth overall at the McNeese State Cowboy Stampede with a time of 18:35.3.
 
Robinson, a sophomore, was named to the men’s team after an impressive season in which he earned first-team All-Sun Belt Conference honors after finishing second overall at the Sun Belt Conference Championships. Robinson covered the 8K course in 25:30.2 to help the Ragin’ Cajuns to fourth-place finish
 
He posted three top-five finishes on the season, earning first-place honors at the Ragin’ Cajuns Invitational (25:13.0) and third at the McNeese State Cowboy Stampede (20:27.1). Robinson led the Ragin’ Cajuns at the South Central Regional meet with a time of 32:01.5 on the 10K course at Texas A&M.
 
Freshman Dajour Braxton of LSU and LSU senior Morgan Schuetz each earned Runner of the Year honors after a vote of sports information/media relations reps from the various schools. Voters could not vote for student athletes from their respective schools.
