SBC Cross Country Graphic

NEW ORLEANS – Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns cross country runners Stanley Limoh and Courtney Musgrove each picked up honors on Wednesday as the duo was named the Sun Belt Conference Cross Country Runners of the Week in a release by the league office.

Limoh was named the SBC Male Runner of the Week after he placed third overall at last week’s Texas A&M Invitational in College Station, Texas. Limoh, who was named the SBC Male Runner of the Week for the third time this season, clocked a time of 24:09.4 on the 8-kilometer course and helped Louisiana to a seventh-place performance in the 18-team field.

The native of Kapsabet, Kenya opened the race in fourth place after the first two kilometers before moving up one spot after five kilometers.

Musgrove, a senior from Mandeville, claimed her first SBC weekly honors after finishing 12th overall at the Texas A&M Invitational, posting a time of 21:38.50 on the 6K course. She moved up in the pack over the final four kilometers of the face after posting the 21st-fastest time (7:06.2) through the first two kilometers.

She led Louisiana in its third race of the season, helping the Ragin’ Cajuns finish as the top Sun Belt team in the 17-team event and finishing ahead of North Texas, ranked No. 11 in the USTFCCCA South Central Region.

The weekly sweep was the first for Louisiana since Oct. 15, 2014 when Matt Rice and Ashley Irwin claimed SBC honors after their performance at the Florida State Invitational.
