Brad Hamilton – Spotlight on Former Athlete

Brad Hamilton – Spotlight on Former Athlete

Football is in the air by virtue of the 2008 Ragin’ Cajuns beginning their season on last Saturday at Southern Mississippi.  Thus, the Spotlight on Former Athlete for September will be on former football player, Brad Hamilton, who was a two-way All-Gulf States Conference Player and an academic All-American.  Once his playing career ended with a knee injury,  Brad served as a student coach. His transition from player to coach with Head Coach Russ Faulkinberry are included in his profile.  Please click here and be taken to his profile http://www.athleticnetwork.net/site.php?pageID=55&profID=4073

Click on the "Spotlight on Former Athlete" banner on the right side of the Athletic Network News Box and be taken to the profile of Brad Hamilton,  S Club Athletic Hall of Fame member and former President of the S Club. His recollections to Bruce Brown in an article in the Daily Advertiser in 1989 reveal about how was recruited to attend UL, what he learned about the Cajun culture once he arrived, leadership in the athletic department,  Black Friday in 1963, his involvement with the Alumni Association and the Engineering Department at UL, the Boy Scouts, his relationship with the Waukesha draft board, his family and his profession.

The Athletic Network is honored to place the Spotlight on Former Athlete on Brad Hamilton.
