"These enhancements upgrade the gameday experience at both the men’s and women’s basketball games, providing a better atmosphere for our fans," Ragin’ Cajuns Coordinator of Gameday and Event Operations Jessica Trahan said. "The newly renovated Cajundome offers a first-class home venue. We feel these upgrades are starting to actualize the potential of the facility. Our goal is to make every Ragin’ Cajuns home event a great experience for the whole family, and these upgrades allow us to do that."

Kids Zone –Similar to the Ragin’ Cajuns Fan Fest for home football games at Russo Park, the Kids Zone at the Cajundome will offer Fun Jumps and kid friendly activities. The Kids Zone starts up when doors open at the Cajundome and lasts until the final whistle. Kid friendly concession items will also be available.

Kids Postgame Shoot Around – Kids are invited to take the court after the final game of all home doubleheaders for a shoot around at the Cajundome. More information will be provided as the conference home schedule gets closer.

Bayou Bar – Located in section 102, the Bayou Bar will offer an extensive bar menu as well as complimentary snacks. There will be high top tables for people to enjoy the beverages and watch the games. Patrons of the Bayou Bar will also have access to the viewing deck below.

New Wayfinding Signage – Fan friendly signage has been added to the Cajundome to make finding concessions, the Kids Zone and the Bayou Bar quick and easy.

"I think it’s exciting. We spent a ton of money on the Cajundome, but you want to enhance the total experience for the crowd. Especially the young crowd," said women’s basketball head coach Garry Brodhead.  "This makes game day even more fan friendly. We want our fans to keep coming back and for me, I think it’s a great idea. I know it takes more work, but it just creates a better environment for fans."

"I think both teams (men’s and women’s) put a good product on the floor," men’s basketball head coach Bob Marlin said. "But today, it takes more than that. These enhancements will not only take care of our fans who enjoy good basketball, but also help to spawn a new generation of Ragin’ Cajuns basketball fans."

The Cajuns men’s basketball team returns to action tomorrow night with a 7 p.m. contest against McNeese at the Cajundome, while the women’s next home game is on Dec. 3 against McNeese.
