Baseball:Cajuns Partnering With Our Lady of Lourdes To ‘œStrike Out A Stroke’ During South Alabama S

LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns baseball team is partnering with Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center to "Strike Out a Stroke" during the South Alabama series this weekend at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

Our Lady of Lourdes will have a presence at all three games over the weekend and will donate $100 for every strikeout recorded by a Cajuns pitcher in the series. Lourdes will present a check after the series finale to the American Stroke Association in honor of Ragin’ Cajuns baseball.

There will also be free stroke screening provided by Lourdes on Saturday with participants receiving a t-shirt after completing the screening. Information on stroke awareness and the importance of early detection will be available as well throughout the weekend.

Other activities include a fireworks show during the seventh-inning stretch on Friday and an on-field graduation ceremony before first pitch at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

The Cajuns baseball team will close out the weekend with Senior Day and Mother’s Day festivities prior to first pitch of the series finale at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the "Tigue".

Due to the car show taking place this weekend in the Cajun Field west lot, parking will be limited adjacent to the "Tigue". Parking will be available in the grass lot next to Moore Field as well as the RCAF ‘A’ Lot for Cajun Field and the north endzone lot.
