UL freshman left-hander Gunner Leger picked up another All-America honor as he was selected to the D1Baseball Freshman All-America Teams, D1Baseball.com announced on Monday.

Leger, the Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year, was named to the D1Baseball Freshman All-America second team as a starting pitcher. The Lake Charles native was also selected to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America team

A second team All-Sun Belt honoree, Leger posted a 6-5 record in 19 appearances including 18 starts. Leger recorded a 2.99 ERA in a team-high 114.1 innings while striking out 87 and allowing only 20 free passes.

Leger and right-hander Dylan Moore each were tabbed to two Freshman All-America teams this season giving the Cajuns a total of five All-American selections for the 2015 season.

Both Leger and Moore were instrumental in registering the second lowest team ERA (3.37) since head coach Tony Robichaux took over the program in 1995, falling just short of besting the 3.31 ERA set by the 2000 squad.
